Is There a Way to Shade Grouped Objects All at One Time?

That's the secret, Claudia: Plan ahead.

As you build all of the objects that will be in the
group, assign the same shader to each of them
right off the bat. Then, when you want to change
the shader, select one of the objects and go to
the Texture Room. As you enter it, you will be
asked if you want to "Create a New Master" or
"Edit the Master." Choose to edit the master and
all of the other objects will update.

I usually build the group in a new Carrara file without
mucking with any shader. All of the objects are given
the Default Shader. Then I edit the Default Shader.
