Ok, I just CANNOT figure out how to make shaders available in the Modeling
room... or UV Editor.. or wherever it is, exactly, we're supposed to do
this!

Basically that's it. I've created a vertex object, selected faces I want to
shade... assigned a new Shading domain via the little drop-down menu.. and
that's about as far as I can get - once I start the UV editor, I do see the
new selection (e.g. "window") but after that I'm pretty lost.

I've gone through the manual and have read and reread the paragraph about
making a shader available by putting it under the layers of parametric
shaders or something (I don't have the book) but I'm finished guessing...

It seems there are too many separate places one needs to enable (whatever it
is we need to enable) to simply get a texture assigned to where you want
them!

Any help appreciated! Yikes!

Andrew
