lol Mark, yeah, that was my first thought when I started this
experiment anyway *grins*

anyway, I wish there was a Carrara tutorial on how to do character
rigging, I'm basically shooting blindly in the dark looking at Max,
Maya and Motionbuilder tutorials and thinking... "gee, how can I make
this work in Carrara" I've gotten really far though now. The results
are fairly impressive.

I realised now that my head mesh needs to be separate from the rest
of the mesh and parented to the skeleton so that I can use the
Morpher to add facial expression. Works really great. I'll just get
around the fact I cant have a ton of mixable facial morphs for right
now by mixing the facial expressions in Poser and exporting to
Carrara... that should work fine for stills, which is mostly what I
do anyway. (would like to get more into animating though, which is
part of the reason I'm doing this) I'd really like to see Morpher
improved though... and paintable weightmaps... my wishlist for C4 or
some enterprising plugin maker.
