Back Claudia , I just posted a revision to your .car file. It uses a mixer in the Transparency channel . Check it out. The easiest way would be to use a black and white bitmap in the transparency channel. If you just wanted the verticle outline of the continents then uss slope instead of elevation in the my carrara file.
