Shorter rendering for more complex scenes? Wha?

Shorter rendering for more complex scenes? Wha?

2004-02-09       - By Andrew Turner

Howdy howdy howdy.

Ok.

When I render the Packaging>Milk scene from the Wizard, and render straight
away, I get a time of 1:28:15. When I enable "light through transparency"
(which seems like it would do SOMETHING that takes longer) the time is
1:27:27.

That's when they're batch-queueueueued.

When I render without batch qing, my rendering without light through
tranasparency took 1:25 and with light through transparency it drops to 1:24
(according to the Progress/Statistics panel).

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Andrew
