Creating a car 2004-02-01 - By David Bell
Back There is an excellent one out there, I can't remember if it was for Maya, Universe, or FormZ and for something like that ... much technique can be learned from tutorials for other packages, it just requires a lot of reading between the lines.
I will look back through my notes. Also look at Lofting, this is an ancient technique (implemented in part in Carrara) used to layout boat hulls and sails. Understanding the basics of this approach will help see how complex multi curved pieces are built.

Hey all!
I am looking for a tutorial on how to basically build a car from scratch. I wanted to build something with lots of curves, (tired of everthing looking like a tonka truck!) and I cant seem to determine to either make a spline model or a vertex model...and when I get it in there..how do I make my square looking car have the curves that I want.
Please help!
