Material Rectangle - new issue to me

Material Rectangle - new issue to me

It's a short answer but not the correct one.
The logo on the translucent object shows correctly, that is no
problem. Only the letters show , not the background whether I use a JPG
B&W mask or a TGA with Alpha channel.

The issue is - When a material rectangle is applied to the
translucent object it will not pass a shadow thru it. A solid object
atop the translucent one will not cast a shadow on a solid object
beneath the translucent one. Remove the MT and shadows are back.
