Back It's a short answer but not the correct one. The logo on the translucent object shows correctly, that is no problem. Only the letters show , not the background whether I use a JPG B&W mask or a TGA with Alpha channel. The issue is - When a material rectangle is applied to the translucent object it will not pass a shadow thru it. A solid object atop the translucent one will not cast a shadow on a solid object beneath the translucent one.
