Back Hello Mike, At this time I am working with a team or architects to import their geometry designs into trueSpace 6.6 They are using AutoCAD 2004 and it comes with a new nice 3DS format export function. Each element is exported separated in 3DS format, imported into trueSpace, de-triangulated doing a Boolean subtraction with no touching cube, fixing axes and textured. It is working just great. If you need your model back to AutoCAD, the 2004 version can import a 3DS file also. Hope that helps you. ====================== Roberto Gómez Torres Tiempo Digital Mexico City, Mexico www.tiempo-digital.com <http://www.tiempo-digital.com> ======================

Hey there, I'm getting more involved with CAD stuff at work, and I wanted to get some experiences from you guys regarding dxf and dwg conversions. 1) have you been getting good results with dxf export from truespace. does getting the conversion pack make it any better or different? 2) I assume you have to get the conversion pack for dwg export. has the pack been working well? My boss uses autocad 2000 at work. I've been using designcad(for $100, I like it), and it seems to export well enough for autocad. I want to try using truespace for better curves and detailing then export it. I guess I'm wondering if the conversion pack works well enough for the price. mike in new mexico
