It was the Silly Lights demo by Andrew Turner (see also) which got me thinking about this particular effect:
Is there some way to simulate the attraction of one object to another? Things like bits of metal flying up and onto a magnet, a moon orbiting a planet, etc.
There doesn't seem to be a behavior for this sort of thing, and it looks like the Carrara SDK doesn't include such a beast. Can anyone point me at any tutorial or plug-in that shows me how to handle an effect like that??
