on the subject of cars,
i am creating a website for performance car club. we need as many images
of performance cars (evo's, rx7/8's, skylines) so i thought i would do
some 3d images as backgrounds, page breaks etc to go with the digital
photos we have.
if anyone knows of site selling performance/japanese car meshes, please
let me know.
the best model i have so far for the price is the toyota ecllipse off
the renderosity site. i quite liked the 3d02.com site mentioned below
but it is a bit pricy for what we need (the 2fast2furious skyline gtr
sure is great though!!).

Hi Bob,
First let me say that unfortunately, I don't know which link you are
actually referring to because I just joined this group several weeks
ago.
However, the clue that the site you are in search of has "Hi-Res"
models made me think of this one: http://www.3d02.com/
If you enter it and do some searches, you will probably find some sort
of Chevy that suites your needs, if not a '57 one.
This is probably the highest-res 3D model site that I have ever come
accoss and they specialize in cars (even though they offer other types
of meshes).
