Back Eovia does frequently update the user projects section of the site (which I find very informative) and did update the picture gallery a while back (plus they have more images in the products section). They also send out regular news blurbs (often with useful discounts on things like photos.com) via email. I'd like to see them do more with the tutorials area (for example, Newtek has been busy writing tutorials for lightwave at http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/index.html) and put more animation examples up as well.
There's also the new www.3dxtract.com
Some of the other vendors run frequent contests on their sites but Carrara does at least have regular contests over at renderosity.
To me the hash site makes it seem more like a cult/religion than a professional 3D company (plus I don't think they do a very good job of illustrating the features of their software).
Overall, I'd have to give Eovia high marks for their marketing efforts (although there's always more that can be done), particularly given the small size of the company.
Just my two cents ...
