Back Hello Pete
Ya it's been a long while since we herd from ya. Give ya credit for hanging in there.thought ya was long gone buy now. Hope ya staying out of trouble and have a place to post questions at. sorta hard to 3D with out help huh, where do you hang out at these days. I was never a supporter of rules,Rules and Artist don't belong in the same sentence. Maybe we did debate a little to much but what's life with out passion. Some boycotted the TSML for stricter Rules. Rules where enforced. Now the Boycotters our long and I fell like a ghost haunting what once was. I hate Rules.
Formats that will not cross our a real pain. Eventually some one will right a converter that ya don't half to have the App's.

Hey Ravenn. Long time no type. There are conversion utilities that will convert a MAX file. They do it via a plugin. ANd yes you always have to have a copy of max loaded on the system. Partly because max Discreet doesn't want you to have the ability to convert on your own and partly because the plugins require to be able to access certain portions of the MAX software. NUgraph Render System as well as Polytrans can do via a supplied plugin that can only be loaded if you have MAX. Same goes for Maya and softimage formats(via supplied plugin)
