Re: Need Help with Physics Engine Animations...SOLVED! :) 2004-01-23 - By ccoles_avengers
Back Well, unfortunately I have had mixed results with either opening or importing *.a3d files. When I open an AMAPI file, it either freezes up my machine where I have to reboot, or I get a "rendering failed" error message in the upper left-hand corner of the blank CS3 workspace screen. After increasing the export size to a 1:1 in AMAPI preferences, I can now at least see most of my objects, but they are still small (but they are at least not flea-sized). Patrick shared with me a link re: an importer updater for AMAPI 7. I actually use v. 6, but I went ahead and installed it any way. I haven't noticed a difference yet, but perhaps it may help with some other importing problem I am not familiar with. At least I will have it installed whenever I get the chance to upgrade to AMAPI v.7.
Oh well, I'll just have to settle on continuing using the 3DS format for now, but at least I know now about the ungrouping approach.
Thanks.
