Back If you want to convert a triangulated mesh to quads then this site has a free program called "DETRIANG" go to http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/3d.htm and scroll down to "SMALL WINDOWS PROGRAMS FOR 3D GRAPHICS" and you will see it there. Note it must be an obj file to be read, and be of one material(ie. 1 shading domain)and 1 group. So remove the triangles before creating extra shading domains, groups etc.
I will load a pic to show the results of a spline object that has had its triangles removed at a setting of 35 degrees.
