The cs3 handbook has a tutorial on doing just this, the video that goes with
it shows just how effective this method is. MDF are you allowed to show the
video? if not the people that have bought to CS3 handbook can view  the full
domino video and comment (if it made it on the CD).

I have an advanced  tutorial that didn't make it into the book so I can
share with you all the power of the physics engine you currently have when I
get my site going(soon), I may even share it thru the ezine we have on the
go, until then if you want to know what the physics settings add up to then
should buy the cs3 handbook, I explained all the options and setting as well
as pit falls and how to overcome them. they may not be there cos I as write
this I still haven't seen a copy of the book!

Reading between the lines I have a very good feeling about the new physics
engine due in cs4, your will not be disappointed

 Matt,

If you cloned all the dominoes from the same master vertex cube, could you
go into the vertex editor later and replace the simple cube with a more
detailed one thus replacing them all in one blow? (And if the textures were
different that should work out too ... wish I had the time to try this.

 Just a thought.

 Yours,
 David
