Can 't seem to get the Gradient shader to work 2004-01-19 - By debadger
Back You've got mapping in the Local, not the default Global parameter setting, right? That's what messed me up too until someone told me. It's right there in plain sight too... doh!

Hi -
Basically, I'm trying to apply a Carrara-generated gradient (as opposed to an imported bitmap) to an object; I have no idea how to get this to work...
I don't know why another shader channel would be required, but basically if I set up a gradient under Color>Color Gradient, Carrara wants something under it in the Shader channel, but experimenting here has yielded no successful results! Yow!
Basically, I'd like to apply a yellow-to-red vertical gradient on a sphere, for example... can't seem to figure it out!
Thanks, Andrew
