"Skeletal " Polyhedra? 2004-01-16 - By Mike Moir
Back Kagamiishi, You could try using Carrara 3's uv editor to map the octahedron, then export map, paint edges black and polygons white.. Then use this new black & white map in the transparency and color channels. If you don't have c3 you can use uv mapper. You should export a fairly large texture map.

Creating an octohedron is easy: I simply specify a vertex object > sphere with 8 faces, but the best I've been able to come up for the effect I > with is to select each face, extrude it a very small amount (e.g. 0.1 > inches), and then empty the face. Is there a better way to do this? > > -- > kagamiishi > > > To unsubscribe send a message to > Carrara-unsubscribe@(protected) > > > Yahoo!
