Would it not be easier to do this with a texture map and then just model the
end piece.

I am trying to "wrap" a flat ribbon around a pole (think maypole). Of
course the end should go outward away from the pole. That is the least
of my problems. LOL I'm trying to do it in the vertex modeler, and
although I can get it around the pole like I want, it doesn't curve
around correctly. What I mean by that, is as the ribbon turns around
the pole, it doesn't keep one side up against the pole like it would in
the real world. If this sounds totally crazy, I can upload a screen
shot so you can have a visual.
Anyway, any gurus out there who can help me with this and tell me where
I'm going wrong, or how to fix it?
