Back Hi All,
Here is an equation I have come up with while working with customers. As a note . If you have an easier way to do this let me know.
Here is the equation. This is based on Inch values and converting them to pixels. Height in Pixels= (H" * 72) * (dpi/72) do the same equation for your width and enter 72 as your dpi.
For example. If you want to make an 8"x 10" render at 300 dpi you have H= (8 * 72) * (300/72)= 576 * 4.167 = 2400 pixels W=(10 * 72) * (300/72)= 720 * 4.167 = 3000 pixels So your render settings will be 2400x3000x72dpi. After you are finished rendering the image you then need to go into you image editing software and enter the proper dpi value. When you change the dpi value from 72 to 300 your image match your desired measurements.
