You can do it in Carrara if you adjust the shader differently for each
object. I've found that spending $30 was much easier. ;)

If you only have two objects, just do it manually. Set up your shader to be
correct on one object, then, copy that shader to the other object and tune
it for the new object. Just make sure you create a new master when you edit
the second object's shader.
