I visit various Renderosity forums all the time (Wings, Carrara,
Terragen). Maybe I'm just oblivious, but I've never noticed much
Poser porn. A few banners at the top of the page, but they're pretty
innocuous.
A quick rundown on the 'new messages' page of the Renderosity Carrara
shows all the same kind of subjects as discussed here - shader
questions, animation questions, Bryce v. Carrara etc. etc..
