Add an infinite plane, centered at 0,0,0 Add a target object at 0,0,100 Put a point at on the plane to point to the target object.
Now when you move the target around, the plane 'tilts' a little toward the target. To get finer control, move the target higher.
Tilt the plane so it comes up enough to cover the horizon. You should need very little tilt, as the horizon is 35000 units away.
Alternatively, you could use a modifier on an infinte plane or a terrain that dipped in the center. Both will probably give better results, but may require a bit more fiddling to set up.
