That's a good plan. C3 has some made some incredible strides
since C1.1.

The Spline Modeler in C1.1 is very good and I think you
might find that a good tool to learn. Wait until you get
C3 to work in the Vertex Modeler. You'll love it then but
the C1.1 version has some severe problems.

Did the Digit magazine also include the "Quick Start" tour
of the program? That will help you get a "lay of the land."
