Back Sounds great. I was thinking this morning that if you really like working inside a certain program (such as Carrara) then anything that allows you to spend more time in that program without having to fire up other programs to get your job done will be much appreciated. I don't think I've done a job that included 3D yet where I didn't wind up finishing things off inImageReady, After Effects or Final Cut Pro (and if you follow the rule that most people only use 20% of the features of these complex programs then if Carrara could just incorporate that core 20% they'd really have something and it would be more affordable and less complex in the process) or starting in a package like XaraX (Illustrator-lite) and maybe a simple vector drawing package could be incorporated into Carrara as well (for what it's worth I'd love to have B-splines where the control points are off the curves rather than Bezier curves; for some reason I find B- splines less fiddly and it's easier to get nice smooth curves) to augment the capabilities already in the spline modeller.
Thinking about the future some more it would be cool if Carrara could get something like WonderTouch particleIllusion (www.wondertouch.com) special effects capabilities (but in real 3D not 2D or fake 3D). Discreet incorporated Illusion into Combustion (and it's been funny how many reviews go on and on about the particles in Combustion without realizing that Discreet didn't even create them) but I don't think that an effect can cross from one 3D layer to another (i.e., the effect is stuck on a single postcard in space).
How about allowing for the export of camera data to After Effects? I think many other 3D packages (like c4d) already have this capability.
At some point Eovia might also want to gobble up some of the best plug-ins and incorporate them into the base product although Lightwave did this but in such a way that the program sometimes seems cobbled together out of different scraps of cloth rather than being one happy, harmonious package.
