Hardly the same thing. Those U.S. soldiers were put on TV after being
obvioulsy beaten and then foreced to make statements to the contrary. That
is against the Geneva Convention or the "rules" as you call them. Saddam
wasn't forced to make any statments and I don't believe there's anything in
the Geneva Convention about the use of tounge depressers.
