You want feathers ruffled? I'll ruffle a few feathers. I've been
sitting here for the last half hour reading thru all the messages about
this. I am a reasonable person, and I totally understand that there can
be two (or even more) sides to an issue.
But what I won't sit here and quietly take is being insulted. And
that's how I'm feeling right now. Because I'm not a "purist" who models
every single thing in my pictures, and who even stoops to using some of
the built in shaders that come with Carrara (versus making every single
one from scratch myself), my work must be crap?
I'm not an artist, and I don't claim to be. I enjoy creating 3d
pictures, for myself and anyone else who gets a kick out of viewing
them. Most of my pictures are light-hearted and I hope fun to look at.
I'm sorry some of you feel the need to dismiss me (and others like
myself). We bought the program too. We use the program too. Don't
dismiss us or treat us like second class citizens because we don't share
your elitist views.
Yeah, you can tell I'm angry right now --- and it takes awhile for me to
reach that point. I won't be posting anything more about this subject,
because it's an no win situation. But please, in the future, try to be
more understanding of other's views and realize there are all kinds of
people who use and enjoy Carrara.
