I don't think it is smart to say that by saying OH by the way daz
studio is working on this so we don't have to bother to do it( develop
a poser import plug in.)or say another company is doing it.
When are they gonna come out with it?
is it gonna be crappy or hal way decent?
Most of us buy 3d programs because we have something to do with it.
If we need to tell a story most of the time it won't be about a cube
talking to another cube or cubes invloved in a car chase.
The reason why people need a poser plug in is:
1: there are tons of poser assets
2:the model are now more humane looking that they were before.
3: they are cheap.
4: you don't have to model the assets wich would take you a month to
do to build a fairly good looking victoria 3.0
5: everything is there but eovia does not seem to want to recognize
the potential.
6: we would replace the cubes by good looking poser assets!!!
it would be unfair for us to have to go buy another program, we
already forked some big money for CS3 but it would be fair if it was
an in house product from eovia that we could pay at a reasonable price
and "plug in" in our software.
i have learned to import poser with not too much difficulty now after
hundreds of hours of test and trials and a fellow here just showed me
how to make the hair half decent wich i had spent weeks on but with no
success,i use the obj import path and sometimes it is hard to set up.
i have to pose in poser export the figure then the hair because if i
sent it all in one group i cannot modify the hair later in carrara.
i know my way sounds complex but that is th way i feel comfortable
doing it now.
but a full pledge plug in would make it a snap and i know it can be done.
what we should do is write directly to eovia and asked for them after
tons of emails they are bound to give us an answer.
