The Broken Bascule 2003-12-05 - By David Wood
Back Create a new Carrara Studio document (even in 3.01), select Animations, and open up the Bascule sample.
It's a simple-looking scene: ball drops on plank, other end of plank goes up sending cube into the air.
There's a large hole in the physics, though: for some perverse reason, after the plank is hit by the ball it gets swallowed up by the ground and disappears completely into the solid ground, while the ball just slowly rolls away on the same ground.
That's just not right. Why does it *do* that, and is there any way to fix it?
