Two ways come to mind, and the thought of playing with the extrusion in the Spline Modeler to get that properly notched lip is the "hard" way.
The "easy" way is to get the pitcher 96% finished in the Spline Modeler, save it (in case something goes wrong in the next step), and then import it into the Vertex Modeler, where you can play with the individual points on that lip. Probably with the magnet, dragging downward from a side-view.
You've got me curious enough about the design that I now feel like trying it myself. So, more on this story as it develops.
