Re: Terrain Editor 2003-11-28 - By pmiinalainen
Back The VRML is mouch more usable in newer versions of the spec and the consortium is preparing next generation X3D which should integrate well with XML and mpeg4. The process seems to be very slow though... But if interested check http://www.web3d.org/ and http://www.web3d.org/x3d.html The resources page is good place to find vrml browsers for win, mac etc.
If you just want to handle big terrain, maybe Descendor will do the trick http://www.binaryworlds.com/products.html I've tried it and it handles very accurate models at respectable speeds.
