Hi Mark - Atmosphere has only just come out of beta (4 days ago, to
be exact) and the full product looks very different from the crapola
beta. This is what the product info page says
'Adobe?Atmosphere?is a professional authoring tool for assembling
and creating 3D interactive stage sets. This new embedded multimedia
type gives the web or document designer the ability to present a rich
variety of interactive content, including three-dimensional objects,
sound, streaming audio and video, SWF animations, and physical
behaviors, all within the context of a live theater performance. '
I don't know why they now refer to environments as 'stage sets'
rather than 'worlds', must be something to do with marketing.

to a page with some sample worlds (sorry, stage sets). The examples
are of very small size, most Atmosphere builders use a much larger
format, which makes it more emmersive.
Entering any of the stage sets will cause the player to download
automatically.
I think you'll be pretty excited when you see what's possible with
this program now.....and they're showing only the tip of the iceberg!
Anyone who belonged to the Atmosphere forum (and posted before 19th
November) is getting the full product on CD for free, so if you ever
signed up with the forum you may be in for a surprise LOL
