Back I never liked using web boards, and, apparently, I'm not alone. For one, getting info "pushed" to me just works better. Also, there are no graphics to download, and, no additional passwords to remember.

I limit my list messages to ~500 from each one I subscribe to for quick reference. Having a full archive available somewhere is crucial, though.

Pure text e-mail is another way to do it.

This is a pain to use, depending on the board program.
