Oh yes, I forgot that they are compressed and don't have an extension, thanks Patrick. If they have a gz extension, the USGS ones will need to be decompressed. I believe that stuffit (PC and Mac), winzip (PC), and winrar(PC) will decompress a gz file. After they are decompressed, you will have a file about 9meg with no extension. Add the DEM extension to the file and you will be able to import it using Ground Control in Carrara.
