Back Try upping the photon count in the GI properties box. What was the setting at in your example? I'd start it at maybe 60,000 to 80,000 and if that doesn't help enough boost if to 100,000. It's going to increase the rendering time but it will probably make those artifacts go away. If 100,000 doesn't do it, up it again and so on...
