workgroup path in interface for scripts etc. 2005-06-27 - By kim aldis
Back if the toolbars are in your workgroup then
getValue("preferences.data_management.workgroup_appl_path")
Is that what you mean?

Hi Kim, This would be from XSI. Scenario would be opening XSI, choosing the interface, and from within the interface setup the appropiate trays, views etc. would be "build" from the files on the server. But the path in the interface would be a variable to these files instead of a given path. Hope this makes sence. cheers,

would this be from xsi or from, say, a command prompt, Rob?

Hi all, Just a quick thought, when I want to add some toolbars in my interface, can I use the %_WGRP_SHADERPLUGINS% variable to look them up on the server?? What I want is to use one/the same interface on a couple of locations, and would like to have the script-trays etc. in that interface available on both locations. So I thought making trays with the %_WGRP_SHADERPLUGINS% variable hacked in the XML interface file instead of a \\server\workgroup folder. Will this work or not? Obviously the server names are different on the several locations ;) cheers for any replies or tips. rob wuijster s-5 multimedia holland
