I think your living in a much too hypothetical space, Brad. You know how fluid these things are. And consequently how difficult it would be to pin down your companies' medium term business strategy using 3rd party marketing PDFs.
I would assume that mental images are aware of dual-core and/or current and future processor trends and that they are talking about how and what they want to do about it. I would also not expect to be privy to that info unless I had a very large purchase order in my hand.
And as for the systems you mentioned, they are designed to make profit, not save money. Transmeta have been losing money hand over fist since they started. It's true they have very good tech, but also they gave up manufacturing chips in January, post losses every quarter and re-structure every second. How would you base a decision on that track record?
