Hm weird because the opterons were released Q2-05 , while the Amd64 X2 only
Q3-05.
I have a retailer here that just has them in (the opterons), not UK
though...
I wonder what would be the way to go,
single opteron dual core now, and add a second one later,
or dual opteron single core now, and replace the whole bunch later.
the dual core cpu costs about the triple of a single core with same clock
speed...
I'm mostly interested in rendering performance.
