Back Exactly!! 72 or 150dpi stuff just jack the resolution up to 300dpi it works if the pixels aren't too rough. Actually there is nothing hard for the printers to print out that's good to use, unless the pixels are really noticeably rough low quality stuff, the only thing is the printers now are pretty lazy and you need to push them to get it out. :-)

Something that has been really hard for me is explaining that a dimension in pixels is an absolute size. Lately I've had the task of rendering massive images for these big banners for our movie. The print people can't seem to get past the fact that they NEEEED 300dpi at least. Well that's fine but if I give you a 10k pixel image at 10dpi and a 10k pixel image at 1000dpi... it's the same damn image. Same file size too. It usually all starts because I forget to change the dpi setting in photoshop, they see that and freak.
I don't remember people being so ignorant when I did graphic design back in the day ;)
