Can not free memory 2005-06-15 - By Takayuki Honda
Back I don't exactly understand what 4x3 stands for m/cm, but if rendering with 4x3 300dpi and it's too large so you go about rendering 4x3 in 72dpi, I'd say render it in 2x1.5 300dpi and blow the size up in photoshop to 4x3.

I'd been dealing with the printer many times but they ask for 300dpi. Also I'm sure you could have the printer blow your picture to the size you want. For example if you were able to render in 4x3 300dpi and you want the picture to be 20x30. You don't need to blow it up in photoshop to that size to give it to the printer, You just need to give the data of picture rendered in 4x3 300dpi and have the printer blow it up to 20x30 when they print.

Hello all,
I'm trying to render a big image for print. It's a 20x30 cm that should be croped to 4x3 later on.
(I was asked to render it 4x3 300 dpi, but it's so large that I don't think Photoshop would be able to open it. So I went for 4x3 72 dpi.) At this size I have a 11338*17006 pixels image (20x30 that will be cropped 4x3) to render (in several passes).
MR crash and says : Can not free Memory... I was wondering if I could tweak some BSP, and if someone could give me some basic settings to save some ram.
Right now, I'm trying to do it direct 4x3 (11338*8525), seems to work, but I'm sure the client will bug me...
Another question will be what size (in pixels) do print-people use when they are asked to make some 4x3 stuff ?
Thanx a lot for any info !
