This should do what you need....just deform your geometry down a
curve...apply this and constrain the generated null to you balloon geometry.
You'll need to plot the shape though if you're doing distributed rendering.
Syflex with "air" works really nicely also, I used this for a balloon string
once, but you may struggle to get the mesh from twisting round and getting
in a big knot.
