The film back size is pretty much what it says, the size of the aperture
which defines the size of exposed film (or the sensor size in the case of
digital).  Film  back sizes are dependant upon format rather than camera.

Good place to start is the American Cinematographer's guide but there must
be some good links around if you hunt.

More often than not, Boujou will tell you what the fov is. And probably get
it wrong.
