Hello. I'd like to keep hairs on my head.....
Using XSI 4.2.
I have a workgroup with a bunch of addons and plugins. When I am part
of this workgroup, XSI just hangs during startup, right after it has
installed all the plugins (I can see it stalls on the last message).
The hang lasts for 30 seconds to 2 minutes, pretty much like when 4.0
was out. The interface is all gray and the title bar says Not
Responding.
I removed the plugins from the workgroup, and the hang persists.
Removing the workgroup shaders did not fix it. On a workgroup that has
no addon, I don't have this problem.
I tried removing the users directory, but as soon as I got back on the
workgroup the hanging came back.
Somehow, it seems only me and a couple of other users have this
problem, not the bunch of artists on the floor. I even uninstalled
Python!
Now the weirdest thing is that it did not do that earlier this week,
and the sysadmin swears there was no change to the network.
