Back I've encountered the same problem Kim had though I don't remember if it was in jscript as well. I ended up unmounting the drive letter that held the workgroup and configuring XSI to use the UNC path for the workgroup instead. Haven't encountered the problem since seemed to cause some sort of internal conflict if the workgroup path existed on a drive letter as XSI would oft default back to the UNC paths. We've seen this ALOT in regards to scene files and their paths as well.
