Back That email should have read:

I've got about thirty objects, each with multiple clusters that I've organized into groups and assigned materials to at the group level. Now I want to change those materials as an override in a partition in a separate pass.
Simply dragging the group of clusters into a new partition doesn't appear to be the way to do this. Any hints?

Sorry about that; it's my first time typing English, evidently.
