Gradient with txt space generator

Gradient with txt space generator

Hi all,

Just an easy question...
How to get a beautiful gradient on an object...???  my object is a
referenced model... !!!

I load a cylinder as refernced model. Select the cylinder, open
rendertree...
Add Node>Texture Space Generator > Generator
Set it Cylindrical projection methode and space Transf as Object...
Get an 2D_Gradient (node>Texture generator > gradient)
Connect it to the Surface of the materila
Connect the Texture Space Generator to the "Coord" input of the gradient...
Set the gradient as Black and White.
In render region, see the result... i did not get a real gradient
In the "Input" 2D_Gradient onglet (vector input active), the "active
range" seems to set the gradient size on the object.
like a bounding box size....
So may question is ... how to set the gradient to get a good one on the
totality of the bounding box object...

Thank you

Patrick.
