Help: making graphics for TV 2004-02-28 - By Alain Bellon
Back I think the issue might be the interlaced video and the DivX encoding. Write to full frames, the output device will convert to interlaced as it passes through. Try using a non-lossy codec like any YUV codec (there are several free ones out there andyou may already have one installed). Or at least render to DV format (there is a free Panasonic DV codec).
Also, what are you saving your final video in? If you are saving to VHS, all of your hard work rendering to full PAL resolution is being wasted, as VHS will only hold about a quarter of that resolution. You are better off encoding the final non-lossy encoded video to an MPEG2 file and authoring a DVD out of it. Capturing to a DV tape using a DV camcorder (will require that you save to DV format first).
I hope this helps.
