Yes Steven, those are the ones who concern...

And I was quite sure that XSI is the main 3d characters animation piplne of
ILM,
there were tons of topics about doby character for Harry Potter, and how
they
are transforming SI3D pipline to XSI, not a mention of Maya - for
characters...
of course I know Maya was used for many dynamics and particles stufff..

and I AM NOT STARTING FLAMING SOFTWARE WARS.....

I am just curious why suddnen MOVE to only Maya animation pipeline....

and soory if I am sooo away with not interesting topic.....

best regards
Marek

 I think you do..

but those reasons dont concern you about what software YOU use. and thats
fine.

 who does it concern?

 the younger artists.
 the schools and universities.
 the forums.
 the gossip mongers.
 the press.
 the developers of said software.
the developers of 3rd party software, because of previous reasons.

how much do i care?.... about |          | that much. it sure is cool to
know that you have in your hands the same tool that helped put countless
movies on the bigscreen. or if an artist you look up to is using the same
tool. but is it going to make me halt and change what software i am
using.... no.

i do hope XSI pulls out some really cool stuff and open its software even
more. then maybe ILM would reconsider. regardless i think there is many
studios doing great stuff with XSI.
