Linux or windows? 2005-05-29 - By Piotr Twardo
Back I've done some research lately and many 3d applications work faster on linux, and after you set everything up properly, this is said to be really rocksolid (not a marketing slogan here:)). It is not as user friendly and there are not many compositing or editing applications (shake, nuke...). I ordered a license of SUSE 9.3 and I'm definitely changing to linux. You can download eval or live versions of suse from their website if you like. It's probably the best for a normal not hacking user.
cheers Peter
