Back Is you light casting a shadow? It should be for the raytracing light to cast coloured shadows.

Hello, I'm trying to create as close to realistic as possible stain glass, I can create the texture but when I try to get that look scene from stain glass windows, nothing occurs? I put lights behind the window and make the colour texture into a transparent texture and plug that into transparancy but still not the effect that you would expect from a real stain glass window?
Any Ideas?
