extraneous model data? _sc

extraneous model data? _sc

2005-05-25       - By Sam Cuttriss

 Back
has anyone experienced this:

occasionally when exporting a model with elements in a pass that is
heavily overridden, the override data is kept with the model when its
imported into a new scene.
unfortunately the object that originally drove the override (the
partition or whatever...) isnt in the new scene.
so, the properties that were overridden behave erratically and cant be
edited.

one example that startled me was a model that mysteriously distributed
itself into all of its original passes/ partitions when imported into a
similar scene to what it was exported from. it was kind of conveinnient,
but unltimately scary....

I shall have to set about making a scene that consistently reproduces
this, but in the mean time im curious if anyone else has experienced this.
